WHAT YOU GAIN
Giving Back
Giving back to our community is one of the priorities at DYS. We staff an annual toy-drive at Christmas and host a "Players Giving Back Tournament" where other teams join us in a tournament where the entry fee is food donations! These are just a few examples of where we try to make a difference.
Volleyball Skills
While our coaches volunteer their time for the love of the sport and to make a difference in the lives of local athletes that is not to say that our coaches are not experienced or skilled in their craft. On the contrary, all our coaching cadres are experienced at the club and high school levels, including Head Coaches from Independence, Stone Bridge, Freedom, and Dominion High schools. Over the past several seasons, DYS Club Volleyball teams have consistently placed amongst the top of their respective age groups
Being a good teammate
Being a good teammate by making others around you better is one of the most important aspects of the DYS Culture.

Thanksgiving Practice Schedule
Our first practice is Monday 11/18. We practice on Wed 11/20, Mon 11/25 and then not again until Monday 12/2 due to the Thanksgiving Holiday.
Practices start on Monday, November 18th
Practices for the 2024-2025 season begins on Monday November 18th. All Practices are Monday and Wednesday at Hoops+. U13, U14, U15: 5:30PM-7:30PM U16, U17: 7:00PM -9:00PM
Players Giving Back Tournament
We will be holding our Players Giving Back Tournament for all teams on Saturday (1/4) from 8AM-8PM at Hoops+.
Certification for Players
We have our Certapaloza (Refereeing and Scoring Certification for Players) on Saturday (12/14) from 8-12PM at Hoops+.
Sister Bonding and Team play
We will hold our Sister Bonding and Team Play day on Saturday (11/16) from 9-11:30AM at Hoops+.
Parent meeting / Jersey Sizing
We will have our Parent Kickoff Meeting and Jersey Sizing for all teams on Saturday (11/9) from 3-5PM at Hoops+
